To celebrate Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AANHPI), join us a lively pop music performance by Alice & the Wave Band. Alice & the Wave is extremely diverse in the music domain, and was rated as "Sensational Band of the Orient" by Bay Area FM 96.5 KOIT radio. The U.S. hosted APEC in 2023. Band leader Alice Lui was invited to perform at the APEC Reception & Gala. She and her band sang in eight languages in the presence of world leaders and distinguished representatives from 21 APEC economies. They shared the stage with Don Felder of the Eagles, who was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2016. The world-renowned masterpiece “Hotel California” is one of Don’s original compositions.

1:30 - 2:00pm: Piano and violin performance by youth from Rhymes Star Learning (at Koret Foyer)

2:15 - 3:45pm: Alice & the Wave Band Music Concert (at Koret Auditorium)

Rhymes Star Learning is a music and arts education center dedicated to nurturing children's creativity, discipline, and confidence. Through programs in piano, violin, voice, dance, and visual arts, it provides a balanced approach that integrates technical foundation with artistic expression. 

This event is partnership between Global Chinese Pop Music Association, Rhymes Star Learning and the Chinese Center of San Francisco Public Library.

為慶祝美国亚裔/太平洋岛民傳統月,來自浪花樂隊Alice & the Wave 的中英流行音樂表演  浪花樂隊 Alice & the Wave 音樂領域十分多元化,被美國主流電台FM96.5 KOIT 譽為 “東方最有動感的樂隊”。2023年美国是APEC(亞太經合組織)主辦國,領班Alice 被邀請在接待晚宴為21個經濟體的國家領袖、代表及貴賓作演出。當天,Alice 携樂隊演唱了八國语言歌曲,並與世界知名的美國樂隊Eagles的Don Felder同台演出。名曲 “Hotel California” 就是 Don 的原創歌曲.

樂星音樂藝術中心是一所致力於培養兒童創造力、紀律與自信的音樂與藝術教育中心。透過鋼琴、小提琴、聲樂、舞蹈及視覺藝術等課程,提供兼顧技術基礎與藝術表達的均衡學習方式。

此次活動由全球華人流行音樂總會, 樂星音樂藝術中心和三藩市圆書館華裔中心合作舉辦
