Presentation: Marianne Faithfull

A talk and audiovisual presentation by Richie Unterberger
Wednesday, 6/24/2026
6:00 - 7:30

Rock music historian and author Richie Unterberger presents a tribute to the eclectic and beloved British singer Marianne Faithfull. The program features clips from her commercial peak in the 1960s, when she blended folk, pop and rock on hits like As Tears Go By, through her unexpected comeback as a tougher singer-songwriter with new wave–influenced material like Broken English. Lesser-known songs from across her career are also highlighted, from early French-language recordings to her interpretation of the standard Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

This virtual program is offered as a one-time event only by agreement with the presenter. THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT BE RECORDED. Presented by the Art, Music & Recreation Center.
