Women have played a huge part in San Francisco rock since the dawn of the psychedelic era. Rock historian Richie Unterberger will show and discuss film clips by San Francisco Bay Area women performers in the '60s and '70s,  including Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, We Five,  the Ace of Cups, It's a Beautiful Day, the Pointer Sisters, the Tubes, and the Avengers.

This program is part of HERstory: Past, Present, Future

HERstory, celebration of Women’s History Month, honoring the contributions of women and the unique experience of being female today.
