Filipino American History Month Kicks Off at San Francisco Public Library

SAN FRANCISCO - In time for Filipino American History Month, San Francisco Public Library invites everyone to celebrate the invaluable contributions of the Filipino American community with vibrant cultural programs. Among the many free offerings, author talks, film screenings, traditional craft programs, food tastings and cultural performances provide an opportunity for the community to come together and learn more about the rich history and culture of Filipino Americans.

San Francisco, CA – Today, Mayor London N. Breed, Supervisor Hillary Ronen, San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) and Public Works (DPW) announced the start of construction on the $34 million Mission Branch Library renovation.

As a marker of its strong recovery, San Francisco Public Library’s circulation has exceeded pre-pandemic levels. In celebration, the Library will offer free fortune cookies to the first 100 patrons at all 28 locations

SAN FRANCISCO, July 26, 2023 – San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) celebrates the milestone of reaching 12 million annual circulation, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. To celebrate, the Library will give away free fortune cookies to the first 100 patrons at all 27 branches and the Main Library on Friday, July 28, 2023.
