This exhibit tells the story of the Chinese in the Sunset.   Excluded from the Sunset for generations, in the 1960’s Chinese Americans began buying homes and opening businesses in the Sunset. Today the neighborhoods of Oceanview, Carville, Parkside, Dolgerville, and Outer Sunset, which constitute Supervisor’s District 4, are often referred to as the third Chinatown of San Francisco.  Sponsored by the Chinese Historical Society of America.
