Fauna Solomon is a former teacher and musician currently residing in Washington, DC. Born in Guyana, South America into a musical family, Solomon started playing the steelpan at the age of 5 and has performed for audiences of all ages on stages around the country. Her father Phil Solomon—who makes the instruments—is the inventor of the modern steelpan and started the first steelpan manufacturing company in the US.
