Dear Mission patron,
Happy summer! We are writing to update you on the Mission Branch renovation project, which is now 95% complete.
The renovation is nearing the finish line, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the branch this fall. Look forward to an invitation to a reopening celebration! The building now has full power and construction crews are working on the final details in the building.
Here's what's currently underway:
- Final wall finishes and stonework on the main staircase.
- Installation of the new fire alarm system, along with electrical and technology wiring on the ground floor.
- Installing built-in shelving and cabinetry.
- Prepping floors on the main level for their final finish.
- Building and installing the new wood ceilings.
Work is moving along outside as well:
- Crews are continuing with sidewalk upgrades, new pedestrian light poles and curb ramps.
- Improvements to the courtyard and landscaping are coming soon, including new planters and other outdoor feautures.
We're getting close! Thank you for your continued patience as we work to make this renovation a success for all.
