Launching in February 2025, Career Insights is a new program series offering firsthand knowledge from industry experts on various career paths. Each session features professionals sharing their journeys, essential skills, and advice for those pursuing similar careers. The first session, Careers in Construction: Insights from a Carpenter and General Contractor, will be held on February 5, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Future sessions may cover fields like automotive technology, tax preparation, academic librarianship, photography and forensic accounting. This series provides valuable insights for anyone exploring career changes or new opportunities.
Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing field with numerous opportunities. There are various pathways into the industry, including degrees, apprenticeships, and self-paced learning. A computer science degree isn't required, as the field is diverse and offers training options for professionals at all levels.

The library offers online job coaching through a service called Brainfuse JobNow. Their job coaches are available everyday from 1 pm to 10 pm. You can access this service by clicking on the link above. You'll be prompted enter your library card number and PIN/password. Once you're at the Brainfuse JobNow homepage, create a profile to get started.
